The Dakota Dunes RV Lot Rules

Dakota Dunes Casino posts a short set of rules for its RV lot, covering alcohol, fires, tents, noise and litter. This page lists them item by item, with what each one means for a crew parked in one of the stalls.

Power at the stalls

The lot has ten stalls, and each one carries 20, 30 and 50 amp electrical service. A rig that runs on any of those three plugs can connect at any stall. A 50 amp fifth wheel and a small trailer on 20 amp need nothing different from the lot.

Stalls cannot be reserved, so a crew takes whichever open stall it finds on arrival. Since every stall has all three ratings, that does not change what the rig can draw.

Bins, and no septic

Bins of 30L stand throughout the RV lot. There are no septic services, so grey and black tanks cannot be emptied on site. A crew staying several days should match its tank capacity to the length of the stay.

Pike Lake and Blackstrap Provincial Park, both close by, are where the casino points guests for extra services. Confirm what each one offers directly with the park before setting out.

Beyond the RV door

  • 20, 30 and 50 amp in every stall
  • SIGA Rewards card to register
  • Everyone aboard 19+
  • 30L bins on the lot
  • No septic services
  • No tents
  • No open fires
  • Nothing to drink outside
  • Quiet at all hours

No alcohol or narcotics are allowed outside the RV. A drink stays inside the rig, not on a chair by the step. Open-air fires are not allowed anywhere on the property. Tents are not allowed either, so everyone on the stay sleeps inside the RV.

Smokers put cigarette butts in a bin rather than on the ground. Littering of any kind is not allowed on the lot.

Noise and neighbours

Loud music and parties are not allowed on the lot. Noise is kept to a minimum at all hours. There is no window when the rule relaxes: it holds in the afternoon the same as overnight.

Panhandling and soliciting are not allowed. The casino has zero tolerance for harassment or abuse of any kind. It takes no responsibility for lost or stolen items or for damage, so anything left outside the rig stays at the crew's own risk.

Questions from the lot

Can a rig on a 50 amp plug hook up?

It can: every one of the ten stalls has 50 amp service, along with 20 and 30 amp.

Where can grey and black tanks be emptied?

Not on the lot: there are no septic services. For extra services the casino names Blackstrap Provincial Park and Pike Lake. Check with each park for what it offers.

Can a small tent go up beside the trailer?

Tents are not allowed, small or large, so everyone on the stay sleeps inside the RV.

Is a barbecue with an open flame allowed?

Open-air fires are not allowed anywhere on the property.
